Giro d’Italia winner Richard Carapaz will be unable to participate in the Tour of Britain because of a delay in getting his visa.
Carapaz was also scheduled to become part of a powerful Movistar.
The Ecuadorian could have joined another climber Mikel Landa in the line-up of the team and acquired his first Grand Tour title in May in Italy.
Carapaz combine Team Ineos, where among the new team-mates have been confirmed on long contracts and will end his affiliation in the end of the year with Movistar.
After revealing Chris Lawless would remain Eddie Dunbar and Ben Swift have also committed their potential Ineos, who took over from Team Sky sponsors before in 2019.
While Swift, the current road race winner, will stay with the team for the following two years irishman Dunbar has signed a three-year deal.
Both passengers will be on the start line to Britain’s Tour at Glasgow on Saturday.
“I feel like I’ve found a renewed enthusiasm and motivation for the game this year, so this new contract feels rewarding for many reasons,” Swift said.
“I think that’s down to the team and the way I have been riding this past year. If you’re really happy someplace and the environment of the group suits you like it’s for me , it truly allows you to get the best from yourself.”
